Yu Cheng is a graduate of the School of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in a medical university in China, where she completed five years of rigorous training. Since 1999, she has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine, specializing in the treatment of various conditions, including pain management and gynecological disorders, through her extensive work in Traditional Chinese Medical hospitals and clinics. 

With over 25 years of experience, Professor Cheng is now a full-time faculty member at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, where she teaches advanced acupuncture techniques with a focus on orthopedic disorders. She also provides patient care in VUIM’s private clinic, blending academic expertise with clinical practice.
